Viewing Album:  The High and Titus Reconstruction

Album Info:The reconstruction of the High and Titus Street intersection, Cumberlland, (Valley Falls) Rhode Island commenced on 5 June 2013 with the removal of the Wrentham Switch. The Wrentham last remnant of the old Wrentham line in the state. Project consisted of replacing the East Providence switch on the Providence Main with a new switch. Rebuilding the High and Titus crossing, with 2 new switches in the lower Valley Yard, realigning the Mainline with Yard Lead. The other switch from Track 1 to the lower Valley Yard. Friday the 7th the East Providence switch was replaced, intersection rebuilt with new rubber crossing with work progressing with the new Mainline switch with its number 20 frog. Everything was done for the passage of WODA (Worcester to Davisville) Sunday night. Work progressed during the week on the intersection and lower Valley Yard. 21 June, all’s left is realignment of the Wrentham Branch with reinstallation of the switch.
